What is CERNIS PRO?

CERNIS PRO is a free, open-source desktop application that helps you understand your home or small office network. It brings network discovery, diagnostics and monitoring together in one interface, with explanations designed to make findings accessible even without extensive networking experience.

Discover devices on your network, inspect their open ports and services, and monitor availability and response times. Investigate which external hosts applications on your computer connect to, check findings against known vulnerabilities (CVEs), and retrieve detailed information from supported FRITZ!Box routers. Clear reports help you review and document the results.

Key features include: • Network device discovery and port scanning • Live availability and latency monitoring • Known vulnerability (CVE) lookup • Analysis of your computer’s outbound connections, including passive TLS SNI hostname observation • FRITZ!Box integration • Network topology visualization • Reports for reviewing and documenting findings

CERNIS PRO presents findings with their sources and explains the limits of its analysis, helping you decide what deserves further investigation. It is an observation and diagnostic tool, not a firewall or antivirus replacement.

The application runs locally, with scan results, history and saved reports stored on your own computer. No account, subscription, cloud storage or telemetry is required.

Available for Windows and Linux on x64 and ARM, and macOS on Apple Silicon. Released under the GPL-2.0-only license.
