“I have a longstanding interest in ERP systems and have evaluated Celerp particularly from an accounting and audit perspective. Celerp is a free, downloadable ERP, not a limited trial or restricted free edition for the 1 user desktop edition. The complete desktop system includes accounting, inventory, purchasing, sales and manufacturing. Paid services add optional online connectivity, synchronization, backup, server/clients experience and AI features. What particularly distinguishes Celerp is the accessibility and traceability of its accounting data. Its Extended Journal links inventory transactions directly to the general journal and includes both local and foreign-currency information. In accounting work, auditors frequently request information that this type of detailed format makes it easy to derive from, but it can be difficult or time-consuming to produce from many ERP systems. The journal can be exported to Excel in a pivot friendly format, with columns in debit and credit in both base currency and foreign currencies. Very few systems make linked operational and accounting data this accessible. Celerp also offers advanced manufacturing capabilities, an extensible architecture and a development team that is unusually responsive to practical accounting feedback.
