CardTray is a solitaire library for Windows 10 and 11 that brings about 320 solo card games into one app. It covers the classics (Klondike, Spider, FreeCell, Pyramid, Golf, Yukon) and hundreds of lesser-known variants. Most free solitaire runs in a browser tab between ads. CardTray is a proper desktop app that sits in your system tray and remembers everything.
The core idea is that nothing is ever lost. Every move is saved before the next one, so if you quit, crash or restart Windows, you come back to the exact move with the clock intact. Each game is stored as a deal number plus your moves. That means you can replay any deal on the same cards, try to beat your best, watch a finished game back at up to 8× speed, scrub to any point, and take over from there.
Features include:
Game Gallery: the full library, with a preview of each game’s opening deal and your play and win counts.
Continue Game: resume mid-game exactly where you left off, or replay and branch from any move.
Daily Challenge: one new deal a day, identical on every PC and proven winnable before release, with streaks and a calendar to fill.
Stats & Records: win rate, streaks, fastest wins and fewest moves for every game, plus deals you lost or can still beat. All of it stays on your PC.
Card Themes: Classic, Art Deco, Dune, Medieval and Minimal, each with its own deck, table and sounds. You can also mix and match decks and tables.
Solver: checks whether your current deal can still be won and can show you a winning line. After a loss, it tells you whether the deal was ever winnable.
Setup takes about a minute. You don’t need an account, there’s no tutorial, and nothing downloads after install, because every deck, table and sound ships in the installer. That also makes the download larger than usual.
