What is Cardstream?

Cardstream is open-source software that identifies trading cards on live streams. Point a camera at a card and it returns the name, set, card number, series and year with a confidence level in about half a second. It supports 25+ trading card games, including Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, One Piece and Lorcana.

It reads the video you already produce (an OBS output, a webcam or an RTSP, RTMP or SRT feed), so it works alongside Whatnot, Fanatics Live, eBay Live, TikTok Shop, Twitch and YouTube Live without logging in to any of them. Detection, a motion gate and a same-card check run on your CPU, so it calls the identification API once per distinct card: about 100 calls an hour instead of 54,000.

Code and model weights are Apache-2.0. Identification uses Ximilar's Collectibles Recognition API, or a recogniser of your own.
