What is Camelot AI?

Camelot AI is an open-source, self-hosted platform that lets development teams manage AI coding agents from a kanban board instead of chat threads. Create tasks, let agents plan and implement them, and review and approve before anything ships.

How it works:

  1. Create tasks on a kanban board, or sync them from GitHub Issues.
  2. AI agents (Claude Code, Codex, etc) pick up a task, write a plan, and wait for approval.
  3. You approve the plan — agents execute it and open a pull request.
  4. Watch execution live with real-time session streaming and full logs.
  5. Review the PR and merge. Agents handle reviewer comments and CI failures too.

Features:

  • Kanban board with a six-stage workflow: todo, planning, executing, pr, done, cancelled
  • Human-in-the-loop approval gates before any code is written
  • Multi-agent coordination: run Claude Code and Codex agents in parallel with priority-based dispatch
  • GitHub-native: issue sync, PR tracking, CI checks, tasks auto-complete on merge
  • Per-project prompt templates and tool permission whitelists
  • Self-hosted: your code never leaves your infrastructure, PostgreSQL on your servers

Built with Elixir, Phoenix LiveView, and the Ash Framework. Camelot Cloud is the hosted option; self-hosting is free under GPL-2.0.
