Calm Radio has been a great find for me. Many varieties of soothing music, and you can mix in your own ambient sounds. I haven't seen that feature anywhere else.
I'm a BlackBerry user and their new BlackBerry 10 app is excellent.

I found Calm Radio originally via a TuneIn radio app while I was looking for some alternative relaxing and calming music stations. Very glad I found this one! I listen on both my iPhone and PC. The free level of listening has occasional self-advertisements for their subscription-based service. I guess that makes this sort of a 'freemium' where you pay to remove the ads. The woman who does their voice work is very calming and charming. I eventually bought one of their subscriptions as I listen often. (strange to say, sometimes I miss hearing the gal do their ads... ;) They have many 'channels' to select the kind of music, from piano and guitar acoustic, to newage, jazz, baroque, classical, country, world... Give it a listen if you are looking for some calm, contemplative or wind down ambiance. :-)
