What is Cairo-Dock?
Cairo-Dock is a pretty, light and convenient interface to your desktop, able to replace advantageously your system panel! It features multi-docks, taskbar, launchers, and a lot of useful applets. Applets can be detached from the dock to act as desktop widgets. Numerous ready-to-use themes are available in 1 click, and can be easily customized at your convenience. It can use hardware acceleration to be very fast and low on CPU.

Some plugins have many dependencies, needs composite extension
According to AlternativeTo, Cairo-Dock runs on Linux. Can anyone recommend a dock replacement for macOS?
I learned to appreciate this dock a lot.
Moving to the next song, Changing the sound volume or the active virtual Desktop by moving the scroll Wheel over an Icon is soo clever.
It Displays extensive system Information while still looking sleek.
There are quite a lot extensions available online and it's all combinable, movable and resizable
The only downside is that it is hard to configure at times.
Rainmeter under Windows offers a lot of useful and nice looking widgets, but Cairo is the ultimate Launcher for me.
This is really cool application. On my mind it is much better than other analogs for Linux, for example Docky.
