What is bx_console Focusrite SC?

Focusrite was born in 1985 when famed producer Sir George Martin approached Rupert Neve to make some custom modules for his studio, AIR Montserrat. Their goal was to create a top-of-the-line microphone preamp and EQ with low noise, extra wide bandwidth, and an incredibly musical sound. Out of this vision came the ISA-110 channel strip, a truly beautiful transformer-coupled mic preamp with a 4-band EQ, complete with highpass and lowpass filters.

The makings of an enviable channel strip Word traveled fast about the success of the ISA-110 design, and standalone versions of it quickly started making their way into pro studios across the planet. It was soon joined by the ISA-130 compressor/limiter/de-esser, and before long Martin and Neve collaborated on the build of an entire flagship mixing console based on these immensely popular boutique designs.

One of the rarest high end consoles in existence Focusrite spared no expense working on this ambitious studio desk, but as costs rapidly reached astronomical levels, the rights to the console were acquired by Phil Dudderidge of Soundcraft Electronics, who finally completed the Focusrite Studio Console with his team. Only 10 of the full consoles were ever made, and only 9 are still in existence today.

A reputation for greatness The original Focusrite Studio Console has gained an enviable reputation for dynamic punch and equalization that is both clinically precise and extremely pleasing, firmly establishing it as the recording and mixing desk of choice for select studios around the world to this day. The list of artists who made records on this desk includes Green Day, No Doubt and so many more.

This ultra-rare console is now available in your DAW The plugin version of this legendary console strip is the bx_console Focusrite SC, officially sanctioned by Focusrite.
