BurnBox information
What is BurnBox?
Burnbox is a zero-knowledge encrypted file transfer service built for people who take privacy seriously. Files are encrypted client-side using AES-256-GCM with Argon2id key derivation before they ever leave your browser. The server never sees your content, your password, or your encryption key.
Key features include burn-after-read (files are permanently deleted after a single download), optional password protection, custom expiry times from 1 hour to 30 days, and a kill switch that lets senders revoke access at any time. No accounts are required and no logs are kept.
Burnbox is hosted entirely in Australia on Sydney infrastructure, making it a strong choice for users who want to avoid US-jurisdiction services subject to the CLOUD Act. The full source code is open source on GitHub for independent security review.
Designed for legal professionals sharing contracts and court documents, security engineers transferring credentials and incident reports, and anyone who needs to send a sensitive file without it sitting on a server indefinitely.
