Lutris provides similar configuration features and automatic installers like Bottles, and because it runs in a non-Flatpak environment, there’s no hassle with file handling. For me, it works more reliably than Bottles.
lutris has quite a bit more in common with bottles than retroarch does, for instance lutris can manage wine prefixes.
