What is BorgBackup?
BorgBackup (short: Borg) is a deduplicating backup program. Optionally, it supports compression and authenticated encryption.
The main goal of Borg is to provide an efficient and secure way to backup data. The data deduplication technique used makes Borg suitable for daily backups since only changes are stored. The authenticated encryption technique makes it suitable for backups to not fully trusted targets.

Comments and Reviews
A very user friendly command-line interface, and encrypts all data and separates data into de-duplicated blocks
The entry point too high for using this software. duply.net or resic much easier to understand for use. But can say nothing bad about the tool neither.
Perfect for command line on a server. You don't need to install mono or other additional framework (like with duplicati) so the install is very small. Encrypted incremental backups works great!
You might need your local tech-friend to get you up and running (especially on Windows), but borg works great in every aspect and can be used with Vorta to make it accessible to everyone. Reliable backups are essential!
On the first view Borg looks pretty hard to configure but eventually the setup works fast and the usage is pretty easy. Encryption, Backup over SSH and incremental Backups. Prefer it over rsnapshot or Veeam
To me like the best backup software for Linux / Unix.
Borg backup is great! Currently it is stable enough and saves me tons of hard disk space on each full backup due to deduplication.
