What is Bootchart?
Bootchart is a tool for performance analysis and visualization of the GNU/Linux boot process. It shows your boot behaviour including login as a PNG graphic and lets your analize possible bottlenecks. Resource utilization and process information are collected during the boot process and are later rendered in a PNG, SVG or EPS encoded chart.
Comments and Reviews
I noticed that there's a similar program for windows, but the available downloads for 2014 and 2017 aren't exactly the one being shown on their download sites, including the one of believed author James Ross. It doesn't have the top line for windows performance tool, and doesn't display the chart. Installing and running the Windows Assessment and Performance tool didn't change that either.
