Comments and Reviews
Whether I like it or not, it the layout engine behind most browsers.
Blink, Chromium's rendering engine, suffers from several significant limitations. Its inherited complexity (dating back to architectural decisions prior to Blink's fork from WebKit, as WebKit in turn comes from KHTML) makes it difficult to maintain and update, slowing the implementation of innovations. Furthermore, its limited use of parallelism and inefficiency in memory management affect performance, especially on resource-constrained devices, generating memory leaks and increasing the risks of security vulnerabilities. The homogenization of the web ecosystem, driven by its integration into browsers like Chrome and Edge, stifles diversity and innovation. It also faces criticism for its high code footprint and its relationship with user privacy, being closely linked to the Google ecosystem. Therefore, Blink falls behind in flexibility, efficiency and adaptation to the demands of the modern web and the future.
