BW is free and made with open source programs. Also doesnt use apps that collect personal data. All these make it worth a try. Also in recent years members have increased since alternative apps became proffessionals for-profit.
This is a community-driven alternative to corporations like Couchsurfing. It is more than a decade and has stable funding and support. The user base is very kind and welcoming.
There's a nice growing community of people willing to host travelers or wanting to meet people from all around the globe.
The site stayed true to the original spirit of hospitality exchange: non-profit and volunteer-based.
