What is Bear Bucks?

Bear Bucks is an online classroom economy application for grades 4 to 9. It lets teachers create classroom jobs, pay students automatically, and manage chequing and savings accounts with features such as interest, rent, taxes, pay stubs, statements, and savings goals.

Students can use their Bear Bucks to purchase classroom privileges through a reward shop, contribute to shared class goals, and participate in simulated investing. The application also includes student staff roles, task assignments, class news and events, a classroom display, family summaries, printable statements, and spreadsheet exports. Classes can use English or French, and the application is intended to run on Chromebooks and phones through a web interface.
