It's a good app even if it can't be updated, you can even export scans to a csv file. It can't scan some of more modern QR-codes (the ones that are not just black and white). Maybe have some other app installed as a backup like
Barcode & QR Code Scanner .

Good: Open source A lot of applications use this as the go to scanner, so it has that going for it.
Bad: Ugly UI. Doesn't rotate.
It's 2.36 MB and keeps it's function simple. Doesn't do much else other then scan, which I love.
Definitely the best QR Code Scanning app for Android!
With the exception of some packing labels I've come across, there's no bar codes this thing can't read and interprit. Amazing. Use it with Barcode Generator (also free and partially open source) to expand communication between devices.
