What is BaldPhone?
BaldPhone is a senior-focused Android platform replacing the phone's interface with a bigger, simpler and friendlier one.
The platform contains large and accessible enhancements for the home screen launcher, keyboard, contacts and phone applications, voice assistant and more. It also includes an easy to use pill reminder for keeping track of prescriptions as well as a full video tutorial section.

It stands out because it's free and open-source. With that, comes a nice looking, simple user interface. Also has an in-built updater, so you don't need to mess with other services. It's also available on fdroid.
Very good for elderly or poorly sighted, especaially people with parkinson's, because you can set your level of accessability to have scrolling buttons instead of needing to swipe physically, you can also turn this off. And anybody can contribute to the project on github by translating, developing, giving ideas, reporting bugs etc. It's already in 9 languages and with time, i believe more of the community will get together and make it shine even more by various improvements...
Free, open source, and because bigger is always better. Whether you want to use it as a battery saver, or while driving, or to install it for the elderly folks you know, this is one hell of an app. Also includes a BIG keyboard as well!
This thing deserves more love than it is getting!
I'm not the direct target user for this app, because I'm not senior and don't have any motoric\other issues, yet I still use and enjoy it. The simple and large interface really helps to use the phone outside, even in the sun. Also while driving, the big buttons mean that I don't click on other things by accident. Also, as a dark theme fan, BaldPhone's dark theme looks great!
Where BaldPhone really shines is how it helps Parkinson's patients, I recommended it to a friend of mine who suffers from this horrible disease, and he uses it and really enjoys it! And lastly, deciding to open source this is a great idea! I hope more devs will check it out and make it better, and that it'll stay open source.
