What is Backshelf?

Backshelf is for people looking to keep track of their game wishlists and keep a record of what they already own. It replaces the spreadsheet a lot of collectors end up maintaining by hand.

Nearly all games have the current price for that exact platform and edition, critic and user scores, roughly how long it takes to finish, cover art, screenshots, and a trailer.

The wishlist is built for planning rather than just holding a list. Sort games onto shelves by month or by priority, set a spending cap on a shelf, and watch the running total against it, or turn the budgeting off and it's a plain list again. Mark a game bought and it's added to your Collection with what you paid, when, and where, and the Ledger totals your spending over time.

Backshelf covers physical games across 89 platforms. It runs in a browser with keyboard shortcuts for moving through games quickly, works on a phone, and there's nothing to install.

Free accounts get the full catalog, an unlimited Collection and a 20-game wishlist. Pro is $4 a month or $36 a year and adds an unlimited wishlist, custom shelves, budgets and the Ledger. Importing and exporting your data are never restricted.
