Aura Screensaver information
What is Aura Screensaver?
Aura Screensaver displays your own photos and videos on idle Windows screens. Point it at any folder and it scans recursively - up to 500,000 files - mixing stills and video clips into one slideshow.
It reads 25 image formats, including HEIC from iPhones, AVIF, JPEG XL and eleven camera RAW variants, and 16 video formats through a bundled LibVLC, covering MP4, MOV, MKV, AVI, WebM and AVCHD transport streams. The built-in Windows screensaver plays no video at all.
Each monitor gets its own window and its own playback queue, so several screens show different photos rather than one image stretched across them. A Ken Burns pan-and-zoom effect, crossfade transitions, a configurable clock and an EXIF capture-date overlay are all optional.
Aura runs fully offline: no internet connection, no telemetry, no analytics, no account. Settings live in a single JSON file.
