What is AudioSilo?

AudioSilo is a free and open-source, self-hosted platform for organizing, streaming and listening to personal audiobook collections. It uses a Go-based server that can be deployed through Docker or native binaries, while keeping audiobook files on the host filesystem rather than importing them into a proprietary library.

The player supports streaming, offline downloads, cross-device progress synchronization, bookmarks, Markdown notes, playback-speed controls, chapter navigation, sleep timers and library search. Administrators can create separate users, share specific libraries, folders, authors, series or individual books, and connect new devices through invite links or QR codes. AudioSilo is available through an iOS app and an installable web app, while its Android app is currently in development.
