Comments and Reviews
Atuin is the best there is for shell command history management and retrieval, even shared between multiple host machines. I ended up basically searching the history before nearly all commands more difficult than my home-made single-letter aliases. Atuin saves me a lot of time spent trying to remember and typing the actual commands each day. It is possible to run Atuin locally, self-hosted, or logged into the public service. Since Atuin is E2EE, the commands you run are safe. If this is safe enough for your needs, just run Atuin locally. It will be well worth your while.
