What is ARPJAM Studio?
Most arpeggiators wait for you to hold a chord. ARPJAM Studio doesn't. You set a scale, a feel, a bit of probability — and two independent generative arpeggios start running and evolving by themselves, with a probability-based drum engine underneath. There's nothing to sequence and nothing to "perform." Your job is to listen and shape: filter, envelope, reverb, delay, and an XY pad for hands-on tone-morphing in real time.
It's happiest making ambient and generative music — the Eno / Koan / Wotja lineage — whether you leave it running as a self-playing piece or improvise a live instrument over the top of it.
Record to WAV, sync via Ableton Link / MIDI Clock. Runs standalone or as an AUv3 (host it in AUM or your DAW). iPhone, iPad and Mac.
