ArchiveWeb.page information
What is ArchiveWeb.page?
ArchiveWeb.page is a JavaScript application for interactive web archiving in the browser. It works as a Chrome extension or an independent Electron app. The application generates, saves, and replays web archives stored in the browser's storage through IndexedDB. It records network traffic from a selected tab for future access.
ArchiveWeb.page allows users to categorize material into different archiving sessions and integrates with Browsertrix for direct upload of sessions. Files can be viewed within the application or using the free ReplayWeb.page viewer. Files can also be exported in WARC and WACZ formats. ArchiveWeb.page emphasizes privacy, with data remaining private unless shared and accessible offline.
