What is anon.li?

anon.li offers a unified privacy layer designed to protect your digital identity and data without compromising usability. The platform consists of two core open-source tools focused on secure communication and secure file sharing.

The first tool is an anonymous email forwarding service that lets you generate random or custom email addresses that route directly to your primary inbox. This allows you to sign up for newsletters, applications, and online services while keeping your true email address completely hidden. It includes built-in capabilities for instant spam blocking, anonymous replying, custom domain support with full DNS and DKIM management, and optional PGP encryption for all forwarded messages.

The second tool provides a seamless, end-to-end encrypted file sharing solution built on a zero-knowledge architecture. Files are encrypted locally within your browser before they are ever uploaded, ensuring that not even the platform administrators can access your data. You can securely share files up to 250 gigabytes without needing to register for an account. Additionally, shared files can be configured to self-destruct based on automated expiration dates or specific download limits.

Designed with simplicity and transparency in mind, the entire platform is open source, allowing anyone to independently audit and verify its security architecture. Users can manage their aliases and file drops directly through the web interface, via dedicated browser extensions for Chrome and Firefox, or entirely through the command line interface for maximum efficiency.
