What is Android-x86?
This is a project to port Android open source project to x86 platform, formerly known as "patch hosting for Android x86 support". The original plan is to host different patches for Android x86 support from open source community. A few months after we created the project, we found out that we could do much more than just hosting patches. So we decide to create our code base to provide support on different x86 platforms, and set up a git server to host it.

Comments and Reviews
I give it 5 stars for now only for working with old hardware. No other Android desktop system worked on my 10+ years old hardware. I have tried all of them and had to get back to this one. This system version 8.1 works fine now.
Doesn't work on AMD-Phenom processors. Cannot be installed at all.
Impossible to install it on a samsung N210 with 2gb ram and 120gb ssd. Too bad. Has anyone succeeded?
Runs Android 9 in any language on my Intel 64bits CPU using Qemu, and it has full internet access (no need to detect, choose VirtWifi at first Android install boot).
This is great for older x86 that can struggle under a desktop OS, of course, if the hardware is extremely old you're better off using Linux.
Also can be used on a VM as an emulator solution, not the best but it would be usable.
it runs very slow
The thing cant connect to the internet, its 100% useless, ever wounder why no one recommends it well because it can not connect to the internet.
