What is Alma: Safety Check-In?
Alma is a personal safety app for people living alone. You confirm you're okay with one tap a day; if you miss a check-in, Alma automatically notifies your emergency contacts via app, email, WhatsApp, or Telegram — with your last known location and any health info you've stored.
And with each check-in, you can also share a moment of your day, so connection doesn't only happen in emergencies.
Because monitoring runs in the cloud, the alarm still fires even if your phone is off, dead, or out of signal. Alerts escalate through up to five contacts until someone responds. A free Emergency Contact mode lets family watch over loved ones from a dashboard, and remote setup lets you configure everything for an elderly relative.
Privacy-first: EU-only servers in Germany, AES-256 encryption, no ads, no tracking, no data selling, fully GDPR compliant.
