What is Allot?

Allot is a personal budget tracker that runs entirely inside your browser — no account, no sign-up, and no data ever sent to a server. It uses the envelope budgeting method: you divide your income into named spending categories (Rent, Groceries, Eating Out, etc.) before the month begins, and every transaction reduces the balance in its envelope, so you always know exactly what's left to spend and where. You can import your bank statement directly from a CSV file, and Allot will auto-categorise transactions based on the payee — or on Android, you can forward a bank SMS alert to Allot and it fills in the amount and merchant for you in seconds. There are no monthly fees: you pay $49 once and own it permanently, including all future updates. Because everything is stored in your browser's local storage rather than a company's cloud, your salary, your spending, and your savings stay completely private — and the app works fully offline, so your budget is always available whether you have internet or not. was the post text
