What is Alexandrie?
Alexandrie – Open Source Note-Taking App for Students and Creators
Alexandrie is a modern, lightweight web app (also installable as a PWA) designed for fast and flexible note-taking. Built around an extended Markdown syntax, it allows you to create clean, organized, and visually appealing notes — whether you’re studying, writing, or working on creative projects.
Originally started by a student to improve productivity during classes and offline study sessions, Alexandrie has grown into a full open source project with an active community of contributors. It works seamlessly even with low or no internet connection, making it perfect for classrooms, libraries, or on the go.
Key features:
- Extended Markdown with custom syntax for productivity
- Works offline and online (PWA)
- Clean, distraction-free interface
- Designed with students and creators in mind
- 100% free & open source
👩💻 Looking for contributors: If you’re a developer (beginner or experienced), you’re welcome to join! Alexandrie is mostly built with Vue.js/Nuxt (frontend) and a bit of Go on the backend — accessible for newcomers who want to learn by contributing.
