What is AI Canvas?
AI Canvas is a library of animated React components and UI blocks built with TypeScript, Tailwind CSS v4 and Framer Motion. The free library is open source under the MIT license, with full source code in the public GitHub repository, and it is listed in the official shadcn registry directory. Components install through the shadcn CLI; installing requires a free account, while browsing source code does not. Many components ship with a remix prompt, public in full on free components, for rebuilding a variation in any AI coding tool, and an MCP server on npm (@aicanvas/mcp) gives coding agents read access to the registry. A Premium subscription adds the Andromeda design system, the templates built from it, and additional standalone components.
