This is the future of recruiting. Job seekers really want to know what it would be like to join a certain team. I will be regularly checking the website to discover teams that are a good fit for me!

What is A Happy Job?

A Happy Job is a team-based and culture-centric recruiting platform. We help job-seekers — engineers at first — find teams that are actively hiring and fit their preferences. Search by product type, tech stack, team set-up, culture, values, working styles or perks.

The information about companies is a blend of answers provided directly by companies and thousands of public data points analyzed with machine learning.

If you’d like, you can answer a short questionnaire and get matched with the best engineering teams. Hiring managers and teams are matched with engineers based on intangible factors that really matter, such as culture, working styles, team set-up, etc.

Why We’re Working on This We believe that the future of recruiting is team-based and culture-centric.

Only 48% of employees are completely satisfied with their jobs. Around 50% of new startup hires are gone in two years. Companies in the SF Bay Area pay 20–30% of the new hire salary to recruiters and still struggle to attract, convert, and retain top talent.

At least part of the reason is that people apply to, interview with, and join the wrong companies and teams that were not a good fit for them to begin with.

Why Focus on Teams We believe that the future of recruiting is team-based.

Job-seekers apply to and interview with companies but they work on teams. Most people spend most of their time interacting with their peers.

Why Focus on Culture Why is culture important?

The primary reason people leave their jobs is because of their boss or their peers. Often, there is a misalignment on values, working styles or other “intangible” preferences.

Our Vision We’ve built “A Happy Job” to help job-seekers find teams they would love.

Job-seekers make better decisions when they get access to more information, such as — the team mission, set-up, culture, working styles, and other factors.

Even better if this information is available on the team level as opposed to the company level.
