What is 3D Reshaper?

3DReshaper® is a tool for processing 3D point clouds wherever they come from: 3D scanners, digitalization, laser scanning, digitization devices... It covers the whole needs in terms of point cloud process, 3D mesh and surface reconstruction.

-Registration, Alignment and Best Fit; -Local coordinate system; -Automatic or manual separation and cleaning; -Extraction of the best points evenly spaced; -Fusion; -Noise mesurement reduction; -Several point cloud representation modes: color map according to a direction, textured, smooth, adjustable intensity information depending on the imported data); -Orthographic or perspective view mode; -Display of the points according to a zoom factor; -Best geometrical shapes extraction; -Planar sections; -Creation of regular spaced point cloud from a meshed model; -3D comparison with a mesh or a CAD model.

The software enables you to create surfaces from measured points through:

-Control the quality of your digitalization. -Improve the accuracy of the result by eliminating incoherent points, filtering and (or) smoothing; -Export the result of your digitalization in other software even if this software is unable to process with big files of several million points; Make reverse engineering; Reproduce the digitalized part. Machining or making with rapid prototyping is possible with a mesh, but not with a 3D point cloud; Make 3D presentations, animations, photo-realistic rendering; Make finite element computations; accurate 3D comparison between two point clouds; To do volume calculation.

Reverse Engineering Expand the scope of applications from 3D scanning, especially in the field of reverse engineering.

From any point data resulting from a digitization, you can generate a CAD model (such as IGES or STEP), usable in computer-aided design, manufacturing or engineering software.
