Laravel MCP 1.0 brings searchable tools to agents
Laravel MCP 1.0 adds searchable tool catalogs, allowing agents to use search_tools and execute_tools rather than receive large tool lists in context.
The release supports MCP version 2026-07-28, including stateless servers that carry required state with each request. It also adds cache hints that specify cache duration and privacy, which Laravel’s MCP client can honor.
OAuth client metadata, PKCE, MCP extensions, compatibility, and conformance work are included as well.
