KaOS stable ISO switches fully to Dinit and Noctalia

KaOS has released a second stable ISO built fully around Dinit, using Turnstile and seatd for startup, seats and services while retaining limited systemd components for udev and tmpfiles.

The release defaults to a Niri and Noctalia desktop setup with greetd-based Tuigreet, and Noctalia 5.1 adds screenshot annotations, cellular controls and updated settings cards.

Around 70% of the distribution was rebuilt with a GCC 15.3, Glibc 2.43 and Binutils 2.46.1 toolchain, while Limine replaces systemd-boot as the default bootloader.
