Kagi Translate disables free access, remains available for subscribers
Kagi Translate has temporarily suspended its free access for users without a paid subscription, citing the high operational costs of providing the service.
Only users with an active Kagi subscription can currently use Translate by signing in on the website or the mobile apps.
There is no timeline yet for when free access will return, as the company explores sustainable options.

I do not see why they do not just place a limit so it can be used but can only be used so much when not paid. Who wants to buy something they can not try first?
I'm a regular user of news.kagi.com and really have to admit I understand that step, even if I always find it difficult when free plans disappear completely instead of being more restricted to give more impulse to proceed to premium plans. Kagi really comes up with lots of great features (search engine, news condensed and customized with tonns of features) so that it seems to me they really should get more support in order to make them survive on a pretty rough market.
