Google Wallet adds TSA PreCheck Touchless ID for streamlined airport security
Google Wallet is now the first digital wallet partner for TSA PreCheck Touchless ID, allowing eligible travelers to opt in once for streamlined airport security.
The integration is available at 65 US airports for passengers on 100 participating airlines.
User data is only shared with TSA after explicit opt-in and authentication, and digital IDs are stored encrypted on the device.

TSA Precheck didn't require passport info, since it's not global entry, and so one can skip the interminable theater for domestic flights without interview or having your passport on you at all times. This defeats the purpose of that and makes the whole TSA schtick obvious security theater. Great job.
25 years later, the agency have managed to screw up air travel and catch 0 terrorists. Nice one. There's 0 reason to use this unless they make passports and replacement passports free from here on out, since otherwise you're trading more data for nothing. And paying for it. Without any benefits gained. They're not gonna cancel your precheck and what else are they vetting for anyway?
What a racket.
