PeaZip 11.0 boosts archive browsing, upgrades drag and drop & enhances fractional scaling

PeaZip 11.0 brings several user-focused improvements for those using this open-source file manager and archiver. The latest update accelerates archive browsing for faster file operations and introduces enhanced support for bookmarks. Internal drag and drop has been upgraded, allowing users to move items directly into tabs and the breadcrumb bar, simplifying common workflows.

Building on these usability updates, PeaZip 11.0 offers finer zoom and fractional scaling options, making the interface easier to use on high-resolution screens. Alternative rendering styles for icons are now supported, giving users more customization possibilities for the application's appearance.

To strengthen workflow and security, this release adds batch archive testing and a password entropy rating tool, which helps users verify multiple archives at once and assess password strength during file encryption. Under the hood, the 7z/p7zip backend moves to version 26.00, and Pea reaches version 1.30, expanding format compatibility and performance.

Developers who compile PeaZip from source will find that version 11.0 uses Lazarus 4.2, while maintaining compatibility with Lazarus 3.x and 2.x, supporting a range of development environments.
