Google launches Veo 3.1 Lite, a low-cost video model for developers

Google has released Veo 3.1 Lite, a video generation model that costs under half as much as Veo 3.1 Fast while delivering the same speed. The model supports both text-to-video and image-to-video workflows, with options for landscape or portrait framing in 720p and 1080p resolution. Developers can select durations of 4, 6, or 8 seconds, and it is available today through paid access on the Gemini API and Google AI Studio.
