GIMP 3.2.4: new WIA plug-in, and bug fixes for Windows users
GIMP 3.2.4 restores Windows scanner functionality by introducing a new WIA-based plug-in, replacing the old TWAIN-dependent version. The release addresses multiple vulnerabilities in popular image import plug-ins, enhancing security for a range of file formats. Several long-standing bugs are now fixed, including rasterization issues and backward compatibility with legacy XCF files.

Always found this a weird name to use... didnt these guys google this first?
They genuinely do not care. People hardly even use it for it handicapped people anymore anyways so who cares.
I never gave a crap about the name. For one, it's actually a very good program. That's what actually interests me. And two, I'm not a snowflake that worries about political correctness and fee-fees.
Also, there is no need to 'Google' anything when there are other search engines readily available that actually respect your privacy and don't exist just sell ad space to the highest bidder. I'm sure the GIMP devs know that, but maybe you don't.
Thanks for your warm and enlightening response!
