WhatsApp adds multi-account support on iOS and AI-powered replies based on conversations
Meta is rolling out a series of updates to WhatsApp aimed at improving chat management, migration, and creative tools. Users can now find and delete large files directly within any chat, making it easier to free up space without removing entire conversations.
In addition, WhatsApp's chat transfer feature now enables moving conversation history from iOS to Android, expanding on existing same-platform transfer capabilities. For iOS users, the app introduces the ability to log in with two accounts at once, matching a long-standing feature on Android and allowing users to keep work and personal chats separated on a single device.
Following these core updates, WhatsApp now suggests stickers as users type emojis, streamlining expressive messaging. New Meta AI tools can edit photos within chats before sending, enabling actions like removing distractions, changing backgrounds, or applying styles, although these AI features may not be available to everyone yet. Meta AI can also draft message responses based on conversation context, with privacy safeguards in place to keep chats confidential.
All these enhancements are rolling out now and will be available to all users soon.
