Vivaldi 7.9 brings two-level tab stacks, Safari import, and daily images to iOS & Android
Vivaldi 7.9 is now available for both iOS and Android devices, following its recent desktop update. The new release introduces several features designed to enhance browsing and customization across mobile platforms.
For iOS users, Vivaldi adds two-level tab stacks, enabling grouped tabs organized in a dual-row layout. Stacked tabs appear in the top row, while individual tabs within a stack show up in a second row only when needed, simplifying tab management and reducing visual clutter. In addition, iOS users can now set their start page's rotating daily image as the wallpaper for their device, keeping their home screen visually in sync and automatically refreshed. The update also enables direct importing of browsing data from Safari, including bookmarks, saved passwords, browsing history, and stored credit card information, making it easier for users switching from Apple’s default browser.
Turning to Android, Vivaldi 7.9 introduces the daily image option, which refreshes the start page background with a new photograph each day for added personalization. The release also continues to improve DeX and desktop mode support, refining how the browser works in these advanced environments as the team progresses toward a fuller feature set for power users.
