Substack adds draft notes, multi-post pinning, stats CSV exports and live video management
Substack has released a broad set of updates aimed at simplifying the drafting, management, and publishing experience. Users can now save notes as drafts on both the web and iOS, with Android support planned soon. If a note is started and then canceled, there is now an option to save it as a draft, and all saved notes can be accessed easily in a new drafts tab.
Building on these writing improvements, Substack now lets creators pin multiple posts to their homepage, allowing them to choose which posts are most visible to visitors. The web editor has added support for centering, right alignment, and justified text, giving users more flexibility in how their posts are displayed.
On the technical side, code blocks support automatic syntax highlighting. This feature ensures formatting, spacing, and line numbers are consistent across web, mobile, and email, and includes a one-click option for readers to copy the entire snippet. Publisher statistics can now be exported as CSV files directly from the dashboard, with each export reflecting the current filters and views, making data review and analysis easier.
To optimize creator workflows, metrics such as revenue and subscriber counts can be hidden on the dashboard if preferred. There is also a new section dedicated to managing live videos, centralizing scheduled streams, recordings, and drafts in one location for improved accessibility.
