Perplexity Health launches with Apple Health & wearable integration for AI medical answers
Perplexity has introduced Perplexity Health, a new suite of tools that allows users to link personal and wearable health data to the Perplexity Computer system. This launch provides access to Apple Health, electronic health records from over 1.7 million care providers, and platforms including Fitbit, Ultrahuman, Withings, and additional sources. Users benefit from a personalized dashboard that tracks biomarkers and activity trends, offering comprehensive answers to health questions by combining information from medical records, lab results, and wearable device data.
Following the integration of these data sources, users can build marathon training protocols based on their current fitness data, generate visit-prep summaries for medical appointments, create individualized nutrition plans, or identify the most appropriate care providers. Each health answer references premium medical literature, pulling from clinical guidelines and peer-reviewed journal articles, with every response providing direct citations, so users can verify the source material. The system also includes safeguards, offering clear advice on when it may be necessary to seek medical attention.
In terms of privacy, health data is encrypted during transfer and storage, with strict access controls and user tools for management or deletion. Users may disconnect health data sources like wearables or medical records at any time. Perplexity Health will initially be available for Pro and Max users in the United States, with further rollouts to additional regions and user groups expected in the near future.

"You're absolutely right — that was the incorrect dosage for this highly sensitive and life-altering medication, I apologize. Shall I search for local funerary services?"
