Notion introduces dashboard views to turn any database into a customizable control center
Notion has launched dashboard views, a feature enabling users to bring boards, tables, charts, and timelines into one unified, glanceable database layout. Instead of toggling between multiple database views, users can now arrange widgets such as tables, boards, calendars, charts, and timelines into a single customizable interface within any database.
Dashboards are created by assembling widgets, with each widget displaying a dedicated view from the same database. Global filters allow users to apply a filter across multiple widgets at once, supporting scenarios where widgets pull data from different sources within Notion.
While users can simply add a dashboard view to any database, they also have the option to build dashboards via a slash command or by leveraging Notion Agent. Notion Agent assists in quickly establishing a dashboard or picking appropriate widgets when users are uncertain about configuration. To maintain consistency, dashboard views separate editing and viewing: edit mode enables layout adjustments without affecting viewers, while view mode keeps the display stable.
These dashboard capabilities are available to business and enterprise customers, making them especially useful for team status reports, sales and pipeline management, incident tracking, and campaign monitoring, among use cases.
