Notion 3.4 adds dashboard, sidebar revamp, tabs block, page archiving & presentation mode

Notion 3.4 has been released, delivering several upgrades to this widely used productivity and collaboration platform. A new dashboard feature now brings together charts, key performance indicators, and metrics on one page, removing the need for multiple linked views. The sidebar, previously becoming cluttered for many users, has been redesigned into four customizable tabs, providing dedicated navigation for pages, agent chats, meetings, and notifications. Users can now choose which sections appear, helping streamline their workspaces.

Following these organization changes, the new tabs block lets users structure content in easily navigable sections, minimizing reliance on nested subpages. Presentation mode also sees an update, enabling direct presenting from any page without extra preparation; this function is currently in beta for Plus, Business, and Enterprise subscribers.

Building on these features, image generation tools have been added within Notion, placing visuals directly alongside documentation and planning materials. Users with growing workspaces can now archive pages, keeping them accessible without overcrowding search and navigation tools. Additional enhancements include H4 headers, a Markdown content API, DSK improvements, and updates to Notion AI, among others.
