Fantastical introduces Claude MCP connector for direct calendar management through AI chat

Fantastical, the powerful calendar app for Mac, Windows, and iOS, has introduced a Model Context Protocol (MCP) connector that integrates with Claude, Anthropic’s conversational AI. This release lets users schedule events and manage calendars within their Claude chats, eliminating the need to switch between separate applications.

With the new MCP server, users can perform a range of calendar operations directly in Claude. After installing the Fantastical connector, users can fetch details on events, create new entries, rename or reschedule existing appointments, or delete events, all through conversational commands. These actions are handled using the calendars that are already set up in Fantastical, streamlining the scheduling experience.

Following these workflow improvements, natural language recognition remains central to the experience. Fantastical’s parser, known for interpreting phrases such as “next week”, “after lunch”, or “sometime Thursday”, now works seamlessly inside Claude. If a user’s intent is unclear, Claude will respond with a clarifying follow-up question rather than making assumptions about the request. For those already using the Claude desktop app, connecting Fantastical requires only a few minutes, making the integration both accessible and efficient.
