Samsung expands Galaxy AI with multi-agent support and Perplexity integration
Samsung has announced the continued expansion of Galaxy AI, its artificial intelligence feature suite for Galaxy-branded mobile devices. With this update, Galaxy AI evolves to support multiple integrated digital agents, enabling users to tailor AI-powered experiences to better fit their individual preferences, needs, and routines.
Building on this evolution, Galaxy AI now operates at the system level, understanding the context of user activities to support more natural interactions. This approach minimizes the need for app-switching or repetitive commands, as Galaxy AI works in the background across different use cases on the device.
As part of its new multi-agent strategy, Samsung will introduce Perplexity as an additional AI agent in upcoming flagship Galaxy devices. Users can access Perplexity by saying the voice wake phrase “Hey Plex” or through direct controls, such as pressing and holding the side button. This integration is designed to make contextual AI assistance more readily available.
Following this, Perplexity’s agent will be deeply embedded within core Samsung apps like Notes, Clock, Gallery, Reminder, and Calendar, as well as select third-party apps. This enables smoother, multistep task flows and supports a richer, more flexible AI experience across the entire device.

Welp, guess this means I won't be buying another Samsung device, possibly ever again. I hope my tablet isn't eligible for this spyware update.
But also, this is kind sad, because outside of Apple, which I despise, and Microsoft, which is trash, there aren't really any other tablets that can provide a proper stylus experience for creatives. FML
Huawei tablets and M-Pen is a pretty great experience, especially eith their papermatte editions.
@brnntn I'd rather buy another Samsung tablet and try to block the AI than to buy something from spyware central.
