Password manager AliasVault 0.26 brings new architecture, offline mode & many enhancements
AliasVault 0.26 arrives as the latest update of this end-to-end encrypted password and email alias manager, focusing on user privacy and cross-device security. In one of its biggest updates, AliasVault has revamped its core architecture, enabling features like custom fields, folders, new item types, history tracking, and support for recently deleted items, addressing many frequent user requests.
Building on these changes, this update further enhances usability by enabling true offline vault access and editing. Users can now work with their vaults in both the browser extension and mobile apps without a server connection. When connectivity is restored, automatic synchronization and conflict merging maintain consistency across all platforms. This makes managing sensitive information practical in low-connectivity environments or while on the move.
Following the core improvements, AliasVault 0.26 expands its accessibility by adding Romanian language support, increasing its total to 14 languages. Additional upgrades include a new cross-platform library written in Rust, a passkey wizard to streamline secure access, and a NordPass import tool. Updated importers now allow for separate importing of credit cards and secure notes, and the release addresses several bugs for enhanced reliability.
