Ghost users can now automatically send customizable welcome emails for all new members
Ghost has added the ability to automatically send a welcome email whenever a new member signs up, delivering on one of its most requested features. This new option covers both free and paid subscriptions, enabling publishers to provide a personalized first interaction tailored to each user type. If you offer paid memberships, new paying subscribers can receive a distinct message, making onboarding experiences more relevant.
In addition, both welcome emails are fully customizable. Publishers can set custom subject lines and craft their own messages, ensuring every new subscriber is greeted in a way that matches the organization's brand and voice. These emails are not enabled by default but can be easily turned on in the settings, providing flexibility over when and how the feature is deployed.
Building on this automation update, Ghost signals that it is moving toward a broader suite of automated tools. The team has also added a feedback link to the left sidebar of the admin dashboard, aiming to improve communication and gather ongoing user input.
