Ente Photos brings likes, comments, album admins, and faster sharing to all platforms

Ente Photos has rolled out what it describes as its biggest update so far, with a batch of changes focused on sharing and day to day photo management. Shared photos and albums now support likes and comments across mobile, desktop, and web, so conversations can happen inside Ente. People viewing link shared albums can also like and comment, even if they do not have an Ente account, and activity shows up in the Shared tab with push notifications on mobile.

Albums also gained an admin role. Owners can assign another Ente user to help remove photos, add viewers and collaborators, moderate comments, and suggest permanent deletion to photo owners. This is aimed at event albums with lots of uploads, plus shared family albums that need ongoing co management.

On web and desktop, users can download full albums as multipart ZIP files, including link shared albums. Desktop also adds options like hiding shared albums, uploading directly into hidden albums, and sorting album lists during actions like uploading or moving photos. On mobile, settings were redesigned with search, and search and face management got upgrades like faster navigation, face list sorting and search, an ignored faces page, and easier merging. GPS location editing is now available on web and desktop as well.
