Ente launches Locker, a new open-source secure vault with end-to-end encryption

The popular privacy focused company Ente, known for Ente Photos, one of the most solid alternatives to Google Photos, has just launched Ente Locker, a small new secure vault app for securely storing documents, credentials, and other sensitive information. Ente positions it as a way to manage essential records like medical details, insurance policies, identity cards, passwords, and important notes when quick access matters. Locker uses end-to-end encryption and is fully open source.

Locker supports saving documents, notes, passwords, and other essentials, with a free tier that includes up to 100 items. Ente Photos subscribers can store up to 1,000 items.

Users can organize content into collections, share specific items via links, and set trusted contacts for emergency access if the primary user is unavailable. The app is currently available in both the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store..

Hopefully they'll add web access, support for desktop OSes and proper folders in upcoming versions
